In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. I want to like these shoes, but they fit a little smaller than most Asics. I think it's because of the excessive padding in the heel... it pushes your toes to the front and creates a tight fit. The look great, but I'm still disappointed.

I had the same experience the previous reviewer mentioned: As soon as I put this shoe on, I knew it was a great choice for my running style. I tend to impact on the balls of my feet and midfoot first, and the Gel cushions those areas like no other running shoe I've used. Solidly built, superior quality, and highly recommended--this is money well spent.

These shoes are really comfortable for long standing or running periods. After using some overpronator shoes from other manufacturers I find that these ones are the most comfortable pair that I have ever used. The design (Blue) is really cool too.
